The Challenge
There were infrastructure projects related to Elasticsearch by different teams within Turkcell. In this context, an Elasticsearch environment had to be upgraded in-place and a new Elasticsearch cluster had to be established from scratch.
The Solution
We conducted our examinations for the cluster to be upgraded in-place and supported the incremental upgrade process. After the upgrade, we solved the incompatibility problem that arose in the Grafana integration used for logging and monitoring the environments. We also documented our architectural recommendations and best practices for the newly established environment and forwarded them to Turkcell. After the relevant hardware was ready, we completed the Elasticsearch installations. We also supported security enhancements such as LDAP integration.
The Result
As a result, Turkcell has two Elasticsearch clusters that are robust, secure, and use the latest versions, in accordance with architectural best practices. In this way, we have reduced operational overhead and prepared the necessary infrastructure for Turkcell to benefit from the license they have for the product at the maximum level.
