The Challenge
Internal systems were facing significant hardware limitations that had been negatively impacting query and reporting performance. Additionally, it was necessary to ensure easy access to data from a single location to facilitate the development needed for reporting.
The Solution
We migrated Defacto's data from on-premise systems to Google Cloud Platform using fully managed services and data pipelines. This transition improved the platform to facilitate efficient data flow management. Existing data models were modernized. With the creation of a Data Lakehouse, a sustainable, scalable, manageable, and high-performance solution was provided to meet the business needs.
The Result
Migrating to GCP enabled faster data processing and reporting. By leveraging GCP's scalable and robust data services, we reduced data transfer and report generation times while enhancing the diversity and flexibility of reporting capabilities. The solution we provided, improved workflow monitoring, empowering Defacto with actionable insights for better decision-making.
